Custom residential design with a modern aesthetic and a focus on environmental consciousness

“I am excited about the ability of architecture to influence society and to offer solutions for modern day problems.”

Nick Mehl enjoys the challenge of creating modern, environmental designs on a specific and strict budget. With more than 25 years of experience he has mastered an approach that incorporates energy-efficient strategies into his designs while keeping the budget in check, both during design/build and over the life of the structure. Nick’s work has been published in the Austin American Statesman, Austin Monthly and featured on HGTV.

Before moving to Austin, Nick was an intern architect at Good Fulton & Farrell, an award-winning firm in Dallas, Texas.  He subsequently operated his own architecture practice for over ten years, specializing in modern, environmentally conscious designs for moderate budgets.

Memorable Project: 1 Niles Road
“I was the project architect for this 9,000-square-foot green residence. It was the most complex and demanding project I've worked on to date—and it was also very rewarding to see it completed.”

After Hours…
Nick enjoys a wonderful home life with his wife and two daughters, punctuated by a passion for soccer. He plays competitively and also fills a management role in the local organization.
